I am Mehdi Manoochehrzadeh. Since my mother tongue is Persian, I have always had the desire to learn English at a native speaker level. For this reason, I attended various language classes from the age of 8 to 11, and I felt that I had learned English to a high level during these three years. However, unfortunately, when I encountered an English-speaking person for the first time at the age of 11, I realized that none of the materials I had learned in language classes were useful in practice, and I couldn’t even speak a sentence in English. This was very frustrating.
At that age, I became familiar with a language teaching method called the GTM (Grammar Translation Method) and realized it is a compelling method for learning English. I used this method and could easily speak English within six months, finally getting rid of my negative feelings
As I grew older, I realized my friends had the same problem. They tried various language classes for years but couldn’t speak English at all. As a voluntary effort, I started teaching English to my friends using the same method, and they were also able to learn English quickly. With these rapid successes and increasing demand, I gained much energy to continue. I developed the GTM method to address all its problems, including the lack of focus on practical communication skills, lack of student engagement and interaction, and limited cultural immersion. Based on that development, I invented a method called “Puzzling”
With the Puzzling method, I have helped more than a hundred thousand language learners learn English in a short period of time. One of the strengths of the Puzzling approach compared to other methods is that learners can see their progress after each session and measure it with a practical method. In this method, learners are not required to learn English grammar directly. Instead, they can construct sentences in their native language and then translate them into English using puzzle pieces.
In 2010, I founded my own institution called Manoochehrzadeh Language Academy and have been able to teach English to more than a hundred thousand language learners using this method by providing educational packages.
Currently, I am in the process of designing games that focus on teaching Puzzle Pieces through engaging and attractive gameplay. My ultimate goal is to transform these games into an amusement park centered around language learning themes. The aim is to make the process of acquiring puzzle-solving skills an enjoyable and entertaining experience for everyone.
